Piano Lessons In Your Home • NYC

Learn to play piano in the convenience of your home! I teach all ages and skill levels from age 4 to adult, beginner to advanced. Play your favorite pieces while learning the fundamentals of rhythm, note-reading, and technique, with fun music games to keep young students engaged.

Currently offering in-home lessons in these locations:

• Manhattan – Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Midtown, and Lower Manhattan.
• Brooklyn – DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, and Cobble Hill.

Rates for weekly in-home lessons:

• $70 for 30 minutes, $90 for 45 minutes, $110 for 60 minutes.
• Siblings taking lessons: $20 per additional 15 minutes.
• $10 per-lesson surcharge for lessons in Brooklyn.

Online Lessons • Anywhere

I offer online lessons anywhere in the world via Zoom and FaceTime. Students get the same great instruction as with in-person lessons, plus the opportunity to perform twice a year in an online Zoom recital.

Rates for weekly online lessons:

$40 for 30 minutes, $58 for 45 minutes, $75 for 60 minutes.

Teacher Bio

Matt Dorland has been playing piano since the age of six and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Minnesota. Matt has been an active performer and teacher for over 15 years, and continues to share his love and passion for music with students in New York City and beyond.
